I believe that the awarness of beauty is a powerful experience, one that creates a pause from our usual mental chatter. It allows us a glimpse of the Transcendent nature of life. Beauty calls out to us of the mystery of Life. As an artist, I am inspired by beauty in all its forms. This is what inspires me to bring brush to paper...to savor that Transcendent experience and to create moments of beauty on canvas.

Thank you for viewing my website. I enjoy working with acrylics, watercolors, and soft pastels as well as working in mixed media.  I love painting plein air because it requires that I work faster, and looser than I do in the studio. Then when I come back to the studio, I am able to maintain more energy and immediacy in my work whether I am working on figures, still life, or collage.
